Ten arrested in Dover, Delaware drug stingDover, Delaware police and state Department of Correction officers nabbed 10 people during a daylight drug sting in the Manchester Square housing complex on White Oak Road.
Delaware Police spokesman Capt. Ray Taraila said undercover officers posing as drug dealers worked the sting between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday.
Arrested were:
• Lynn E. Sipe, 27, of Country Drive, Dover, Delaware. She was charged with criminal solicitation, maintaining a vehicle for the use of drugs, possessing cocaine and possessing cocaine within 300 feet of a park. She was released on an unsecured bail.
• Venita V. Thomas, 36, of the 400 block of Phoenix Ave., Dover, Delaware. She was charged with criminal solicitation, possessing marijuana, maintaining a vehicle for the use of drugs, possessing cocaine within 300 feet of a park, possessing cocaine with intent to distribute, and possessing drug paraphernalia. She was released on an unsecured bail.
• Paul L. Ridenour, 24, of the first block of Lake Forest Circle, Felton. He was charged with criminal solicitation, possessing cocaine within 300 feet of a park, possessing cocaine, maintaining a vehicle for the use of drugs, resisting arrest, tampering with evidence and reckless endangering. He was released on an unsecured bail.
• Craig Walker, 23, of Manchester Square, Dover, Delaware. He was charged with failure to appear on unrelated criminal charges and turned over to the Kent County sheriff.
• Paul J. Williams, 62, of the first block of Fords Road, Dover, Delaware. He was charged with criminal solicitation, possessing cocaine, possessing cocaine within 300 feet of a park, maintaining a vehicle for the use of drugs, conspiracy, and possessing drug paraphernalia, He was released on an unsecured bail.
• Linda Filkohazi, 41, of the first block of Fords Road, Dover, Delaware. She was charged with criminal solicitation, possessing cocaine, maintaining a vehicle for the use of drugs, conspiracy, possessing cocaine within 300 feet of a park, and failure to appear in the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on an unrelated charge. She was sent to Baylor Women's Correctional Institution in lieu of $12,545 secured bail.
• Darren L. Durant, 40, of the 1400 block of S. Hancock Ave., Dover, Delaware. He was charged with criminal solicitation, possessing cocaine, possessing cocaine within 300 feet of a park and issuing a bad check. He was released on an unsecured bail.
• Brien J. Echaves, 44, of the 1500 block of S. State St., Dover, Delaware. He was charged with criminal solicitation, possessing cocaine, possessing cocaine within 300 feet of a park, conspiracy and maintaining a vehicle for the use of drugs. He was released on an unsecured bail.
• Johnnie Gibson, 41, of the 100 block of Cherry St., Dover, Delaware. He was charged with criminal solicitation, possessing cocaine, possessing cocaine within 300 feet of a park, conspiracy, maintaining a vehicle for the use of drugs and possessing drug paraphernalia. He was released on an unsecured bail.
• Thomas E Cubbage, 51, of the 200 block of Beachwood Ave., Dover, Delaware. He was charged with criminal solicitation, possessing cocaine, maintaining a vehicle for the use of drugs, conspiracy, possessing cocaine within 300 feet of a park, consumption of cocaine and tampering with evidence.
